Job recruitment is a necessary part of the job search process. However, it has its own complications and pitfalls. A lack of relevant information and outdated policies make it difficult for job seekers to make informed decisions about their career options. Job recruitment requires you to be able to identify the positions that are available within your industry and explain why you would be a good fit for them. 1. Think about What Motivates You

Maybe it is just one day closer to getting paid on time enough so we can go back to school again. We have to think about the bigger picture and not just whether we will like this job, but if it is actually a good fit for us personally. 2. Research the Company
By going online and reading what others have to say about this firm, it allows us to learn something about their history. What has been important to them in terms of milestones? How do you know that they will be a stable supportive employer community wise as well as financially if they are asking for our skills? 3. Choose a Firm You Can Work For
A recruiter will want to know what good journeymen should look like, and quick. If you aren’t willing or able to commit to 3 years of consistent employment with this company, then get the heck out there because that is absolutely unacceptable. Then ask yourself if it would be worth it for you in the end (remembering that financially your family needs are important). You also want to make sure you can work full time and don’t get burned out. Also, make sure the firm is not too politically polarizing for your sensibilities.
4. Check References
They will be asked to contact references when you are in the interview process and I’m not talking about sometimes distant family members. Try your best because friends and relatives that don’t know how long it takes for a journeyman’s salary can really mess up an employer’s expectations of compensation.
5. Have Them Take Your Survey Online
There is no way around this, whatsoever, at least if whatever firms you are applying to serious about quality. This survey will help HR better understand your skills, work history and hopes for the future at the firm you are considering. If they don’t take it, find another avenue to get in touch with them (i.e. show up on their doorstep) No matter what, make sure despite no response to this initial request that you follow up (but do so outside of regular business hours).
